b. General Permits and Inspections. Section 301 is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />• No building or structure regulated b this code shall <br />Y be <br />erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, <br />improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a separate <br />permit for each building or structure has first been <br />obtained from the building official in the manner and <br />according to the applicable conditions prescribed in Chapter <br />9, section 2.15 of the City Code. <br />c. Fees. Section 302 is amended to read as follows: <br />Whenever a building permit is required by section 301 of <br />this code, the appropriate fees shall be paid to the <br />building official as specified in Chapter 9, section 2.15 of <br />the City Code. <br />d. Certificate of Occupancv. A new Section 304 is added, to <br />read as follows: <br />The owner or manager of alI multi-family rental buildings <br />~ with more than three living units shall secure from the city <br />i,V~ a certificate of occupancy. Certificates of occupancy shall <br />be issued by the city after a finding by the Building <br />Inspector, or his or her designee, that all living units <br />comply with the minimum standards of this code. <br />• Certificates must be visibly posted in a common area near <br />the front entrance and shall be valid for two years from the <br />date of issue. Renewal applications must be made no later <br />than 60 days prior to the expiration date of the previous <br />certificate. Application fees for certificates or renewals <br />shall be in accordance with Chapter 5-4.01 of the city code. <br />e. Definitions. Section 401 is amended to read as follows: <br />(i) Add the words "pursuant to Chapter 9, Section 2.15 of <br />the City Code" to the definition of Building Code. <br />(ii) Amend the definition of Plumbing Code to read. as <br />follows: "Plumbing Code is the State of Minnesota <br />Plumbing Code." <br />(iii) Amend the definition of Mechanical Code to read as <br />follows: "Mechanical Code is the State of Minnesota <br />Mechanical Code." <br />f. Space and Occupancy Standards Section 502, paragraph <br />(b) is deleted and the following inserted in its place: <br />502(b) Yards. Every yard shall conform to applicable <br />requirements of the city zoning code. <br />
