L <br />• Metropolitan Council Meeting of Apri19, 1992 Business Item: B ~ 1 <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />Mears Park Centre, 230 East Fifth St., St. Paul, Minnesota 55101 <br />612/291-6359 <br />REPORT OF THE METROPOLITAN AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />Referral Report 92-20 <br />DATE: March 23, 1992 <br />TO: Metropolitan Council <br />SUBJECT City of Falcon Heights <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />Revised Comprehensive Plan <br />Metropolitan Council Referral File No. 15089-4 <br />Metropolitan Council District No. 3 <br />BACKGROUND <br />At its meeting on March 23, 1992, the Metropolitan and Community Development Committee <br />discussed a staff report and recommendations dealing with the review of the Falcon Heights <br />comprehensive plan amendment. <br />ISSUES AND CONCERNS <br />Steven Schwanke, Council staff (ext. 6594) presented the report and answered questions from the <br />Committee. <br />Ms. Wolfson asked how the city of Falcon Heights would determine the type and volume of sanitary <br />sewer discharge coming from the iJniversity of Minnesota and State Fairgrounds properties. Mr. <br />Larsen stated that the city monitors some of the discharge for billing purposes. He indicated, <br />however, that much of the information would have to be provided by the respective property owners. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />That the Metropolitan Council: <br />1. Adopt the above findings and the staff report as part of these recommendations. <br />2.
