•
r~
CHANGE ORDER FOR HAMLINE AVENUE RETAINING WALL
Terry Maurer explained to council the need for a three foot high
retaining wall on a portion of the Hamline Avenue properties
south of Garden Avenue to 1781 Hamline. The wall is required
due to the increased slope of the property after Hamline Avenue
was widened. The wall would be constructed at the property line
so liability will be minimal and would match the existing slopes
of the front yards. The wall would be made of grey concrete
blocks and would cost the city approximately $13,095. Jerry
Wallin moved to approve this request. Motion carried
unanimously.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS NOTED
On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, Sue Gehrz asked whether
city staff would be responsive to hosting high school students
for part of the day in connection with "career day". Sue Hoyt
thought the staff would enjoy doing this again as it was a
positive experience last year.
ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
Tom Ba win, Mayor
Attest:
Patricia P i ips
