To avoid unnecessary utility extensions to areas not <br />ready for development. <br />POLICIES: <br />1. Clean, repair and replace City sewer, and reduce inflow <br />and infiltration on a continuing basis as needed. <br />2. Approve new developments only when they are adequately <br />served by streets and public utilities in accordance <br />• with accepted design standards. ,, <br />3. Require the burying of overhead utility lines in all <br />areas wherever and whenever feasible. <br />* 4. Encourage separating storm and sanitary sewers on <br />the State Fairgrounds. <br />* 5. Prohibit the use of private waste water treatment <br />plants in the City. <br />* Required by Metropolitan Council <br />• <br />
