~.f' AGENDA ITEM C <br />t <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />• MARCH 26, 1990 <br />Chairman Boche called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. <br />PRESENT <br />Barry, Boche, Daykin, Duncan, Finegan and Nestingen. Also <br />Present was Council Liaison Ciernia and Planner Susan Hoyt <br />Taff. <br />ABSENT <br />None <br />FEBRUARY 5, 1990 MINUTES APPROVED <br />Minutes were approved noting Duncan's arrival time by unanimous <br />consent. <br />SUSAN MCALLISTER, 1513 WEST CALIFORNIA, REQUESTS A NO PARKING <br />ZONE ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF ARONA BETWEEN LARPENTEUR AND CALIFORNIA <br />AVENUE ADJACENT TO HER HOME <br />Susan McAllister outlined her concerns regarding problems <br />they have encountered with parking adjacent to their home. <br />They include: trampling of grass/flowers/trees; cars being <br />parked on the street during snow plowing/street sweeping causing <br />street not being properly cleaned; trash being deposited on <br />their property; .and obstruction of their driveway access by <br />• cars owned by tenants of apartment building directly to the <br />north. They do not have a sidewalk along the Arona side of <br />their property. Ms. McAllister noted that Arona is posted <br />no parking south of California. <br />Chairman Boche asked for a new member to join the Parking <br />Committee since two of its members left the Commission. <br />Commissioner Daykin volunteered. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the parking requirements on Minnesota <br />State Aid streets. Staff was directed to review whether Arona <br />should be posted no parking from Larpenteur to California. <br />Chairman Boche referred the McAllister no parking request <br />to the Parking Committee for a report at the April 23rd meeting. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION STANDING RULES <br />Barry moved adoption of the Planning Commission Standing Rules <br />as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />1990 MINNESOTA STATE PLANNING COMFERENCE <br />Planner Susan Hoyt Taff distributed the Planning Conference <br />program. She asked that Commissioners interested contact <br />Kitty or her so that the registration form can be mailed in <br />by April 13. <br /> <br />
