Compost Related Ordinance Revisions <br />Page 2 <br />• 2. THE ZONING CODE MUST BE CHANGED T0: <br />a. Identify composting as an allowable accessory use on <br />residential property. <br />b. Regulate the size and location of the compost area or <br />structure. <br />c. Avoid reviewing all compost structures, which requires a <br />fee, staff time and delay in construction for the resident. <br />d. Proposed revisions: <br />1) 9-4.01 Subd. 3 Permitted_Accessor~_Uses <br />k. One compost area or one compost structure aS defined in <br />9-2.04 Subd. 1(k ), of grass clippings, leaves and plant <br />2) 9-2.04 Subd. 1 Accessory Buildings <br />and Structures <br />• _ <br />_ _ <br />k. One accessory structure for compost made of wood and/or <br />wire screen not to exceed five (5) feet in height by five <br />(5) feet in width.
