RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMITS <br />City of Falcon Heights <br />Annual Parking Permits <br />1. Permits exempt residents from the one or two hour parking limit during weekday <br />hours. <br />2. Permits DO NOT exempt residents from: <br />• Parking on the street for more than 48 hours without moving the car <br />• Parking on the street after 2 inches of snowfall (before snowplowing is <br />completed) <br />3. Permits expire at the end of the calendar year. (For Lindig residents, new permits <br />will be valid until the end of 2005.) <br />4. Permits are nontransferable. A permit is assigned to a vehicle and is valid on that <br />vehicle only. It may not be used on any other vehicle. <br />5. The permit fee is $10.00 per vehicle for the first and second vehicle. For additional <br />vehicles the fee is $20.00 each. <br />• 6. The permit must be fixed to the lower left side of the driver side window. <br />7. To qualify for a permit, a vehicle must be registered to a resident at an address in the <br />permit parking zone. <br />• Special permits can be granted to qualified non-resident caregivers on a <br />case-by-case basis. Please contact City Hall for more information. <br />Temporary Parking Permits <br />Residents in permit parking zones may purchase temporary permits for guests, <br />visitors and service vehicles. The temporary parking permit fee is $1.00 per vehicle <br />for a period of 3 weeks. <br />2. Arrangements for large special event (one day, more than 5 cars) temporary parking <br />can be made at City Hall. <br />3. Vehicles with a temporary permit are still subject to the 48 hour limit and snow <br />emergency rules (see #2 above). <br />4. Temporary parking permits are available in all zones for construction dumpsters if the <br />dumpster must be parked in the street. Dumpsters must be equipped with required <br />reflectors.
