e. Seeding/Soddin <br />• Boulevard restoration by seeding/sodding is required as part of <br />street improvement projects. <br />8. Existing Street Reconstruction Projects <br />Projects which reconstruct existing City streets shall be to the mini- <br />mum applicable standards for the type of street classification regard- <br />less of the existing street section. <br />9. Maintenance/Rehabilitation Projects <br />a. Cold In Place Rec cling and Repavin (CIR/Repavin ) <br />Recycling of existing deteriorated pavements by pulverizing, <br />mixing with new asphaltic oils and compacting in place. New <br />paving materials are then placed over the cold recycled pavement <br />similar to a standard overlay. -~ <br />b. Bituminous Overlay <br />• Placement of an additional bituminous layer, generally 1-1/2 to 2 <br />inches thick, over an existing bituminous surfaced street. <br />c. Crack Sealing <br />Placement of petroleum based material in the cracks of a bitumi- <br />nous surfaced street for the purpose of eliminating the flow of <br />water from the surface to the aggregate base material below. <br />d. Bituminous Seal Coating <br />Placement of petroleum based material and aggregate on an existing <br />bituminous surfaced street for the purpose of filling cracks and <br />covering mild wear. <br />B. Determining Street Assessment Rates <br />1. New Construction <br />All new street construction, regardless of classification or design, <br />• shall be totally assessed to benefiting properties on a front foot basis. <br />10 <br />
