• CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, <br />was held on Wednesday, February 29, 1984. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Eggert and <br />Councilmembers Chestovich, Baldwin, Hard and Ciernia. <br />Councilmember Hard introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 84-7 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF THE <br />PRELIMINARY LAYOUT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />OF TRUNK HIGHWAY NO. 51 (Snelling Avenue) <br />WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY <br />OF FALCON HEIGHTS. <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation <br />has prepared a preliminary layout for the improvement of a part of <br />Trunk Highway Number 125 renumbered as Trunk Highway 51 within the <br />corporate limits of the City of Falcon Heights, from the Corp. <br />limits to the No. Corp. limits; and seeks the approval thereof; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said preliminary layouts are on file in the Office <br />of the Department of Transportation, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being <br />marked, labeled and identified as Layout No. 2 S.P. 6215-58 & S.P. <br />6216-91 (51=135) from Como Avenue to TH 36; and <br />WHEREAS, upon completion of construction, all frontage roads <br />and access roads as shown on said preliminary plans will be conveyed <br />to the City of Falcon Heights. The City of Falcon Heights will <br />then assume jurisdiction including maintenance of all frontage <br />and access roads; and <br />WHEREAS, this approval of the preliminary layouts does not <br />affect the City's opportunity to review, comment upon and approve <br />the final plans for improvement of the involved portion of Snelling <br />Avenue by the Minnesota Department of Transportation; and <br />WHEREAS, in preparing the final layout plan, the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation has agreed to study the following <br />issues: <br />1. Whether the median at Garden Avenue <br />can be widened; <br /> <br />
