• EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA HELD: OCTOBER 12, 1972 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minne- sota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on the 12th day of October, at 8:00 P. M. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund and Stone, and the following was absent: Council- woman Stocker. Councilman Stone introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ~~ 72-36 RESOLUTION RELATING TO MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE AND THE VILLAGE ZONING ORDINANCE • WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly-given as required by law, the Village.Council has met, for the purpose of adopting the proposed resolution relating to the municipal liquor store and the Village Zoning Ordinance of 1972, as more fully .described in the T~tunicipal Liquor Store and Village Zoning.,Ordinan~e: A. The architect for the municipal liquor store in a letter dated August 30, 1972 to the Clerk-Administrator (a copy of which i5 attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference) identified cer- tain variances from the Zoning Ordinance required with respect to the pro- posed municipal liquor store. B. The municipal liquor store is a retail use similar in nature to the uses set forth in Section 11.1 of the Zoning Ordinance. C. Certain of the variances described in said letter of August 30, 1972 existed prior to the establishment of the municipal liquor store under the non-conforming use or variance provisions for this Zoning Ordinance; and the proposed municipal liquor store, including the addition thereto, constitutes merely an extension of those pre-existing uses. D. Prior to adoption of final plans and specifications for the municipal liquor store, the i1la,ge Council carefully considered the issues raised with respect to the variance set forth in said letter of August 30, 1972.
