• <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />HELD: OCTOBER 12, 1972 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minne- <br />sota, was duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on <br />the 12th day of October, at 8:00 P. M. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund and Stone, and the following was absent: Council- <br />woman Stocker. <br />Councilman Stone introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION ~~ 72-36 <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO MUNICIPAL LIQUOR <br />STORE AND THE VILLAGE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />• <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly-given as required by <br />law, the Village.Council has met, for the purpose of adopting the proposed <br />resolution relating to the municipal liquor store and the Village Zoning <br />Ordinance of 1972, as more fully .described in the T~tunicipal Liquor Store <br />and Village Zoning.,Ordinan~e: <br />A. The architect for the municipal liquor store in a <br />letter dated August 30, 1972 to the Clerk-Administrator (a copy of which <br />i5 attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference) identified cer- <br />tain variances from the Zoning Ordinance required with respect to the pro- <br />posed municipal liquor store. <br />B. The municipal liquor store is a retail use similar <br />in nature to the uses set forth in Section 11.1 of the Zoning Ordinance. <br />C. Certain of the variances described in said letter <br />of August 30, 1972 existed prior to the establishment of the municipal <br />liquor store under the non-conforming use or variance provisions for this <br />Zoning Ordinance; and the proposed municipal liquor store, including the <br />addition thereto, constitutes merely an extension of those pre-existing <br />uses. <br />D. Prior to adoption of final plans and specifications <br />for the municipal liquor store, the i1la,ge Council carefully considered the <br />issues raised with respect to the variance set forth in said letter of <br />August 30, 1972. <br />
