-. <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council by resolution, dated January <br />27, 1972, approved of the project; <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights on September 12, 1972, rescinded the prior reso- <br />lution; <br />WHEREAS, the present traffic situation on Larpenteur <br />Avenue in the area of the proposed improvement is causing <br />great inconvenience and possible d anger to the citizens <br />of Falcon Heights; <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Engineer has submitted two <br />alternate plans for the Larpenteur-Hamline interchange, <br />one calling for no median on Hamline Avenue, with two lanes <br />• north and. two lanes south of the intersection, and no left <br />turn lanes, the other plan calling for a median on Hamline <br />Avenue, with one through lane north, one through lane south, <br />and lef t turn lanes; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under both plans, no trees on Hamline Avenue or <br />Larpenteur Avenue are to be cut down; <br />WHEREAS, the "median plan" will be fully funded by federal <br />and state. aid under the "Topics" Program; <br />WHEREAS, the "no median plan".will. not be fully funded by <br />state or federal aid, but may require Village funds or <br />individual assessments to cornplete; <br />-2- <br />
