WHEREAS, The consolidation plan stipulates that Ramsey County shall improve the <br />roadway to acceptable levels prior to transferring jurisdiction over roadway segments from <br />Ramsey County to municipalities, and the Ramsey County Capital Improvement Program <br />provides funding for these Ramsey County Roadway Consolidation improvements; and, <br />WHEREAS, The City of Falcon Heights desires Ramsey County to sealcoat Hoyt Avenue <br />(County State Aid Highway 56) from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue for an estimated cost <br />of $4,000, and to repair deteriorated structures and mill and overlay Roselawn Avenue (County <br />State Aid Highway 26) from Fulham Street to Cleveland Avenue for an estimated cost of <br />$184,774 and fund the sealcoat, structure repairs and mill and overlay projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby jointly agree to the following: <br />SECTION I. <br />COUNTY OBLIGATIONS <br />RESOLVED, That Ramsey County shall sealcoat Hoyt Avenue (County State Aid Highway 56) <br />from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue for an estimated cost of $4,000, and repair <br />deteriorated structures and mill and overlay Roselawn Avenue (County State Aid Highway 26) <br />from Fulham Street to Cleveland Avenue for an estimated cost of $184,774 consistent with plans <br />reviewed and accepted by the Falcon Heights City Engineer, and shall fund the sealcoat, <br />structure repairs and mill and overlay projects with an estimated $188,774 from Capital <br />. Improvement Funds for Ramsey County Roadway Consolidation; <br />SECTION II. <br />CITY OBLIGATIONS <br />RESOLVED, That upon completion of the County Obligation specified in Section I as certified <br />by the Falcon Heights City Engineer, the City of Falcon Heights shall accept the turnback to the <br />City of Falcon Heights from Ramsey County of the segment of Hoyt Avenue (County State Aid <br />Highway 56) from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue, and Roselawn Avenue (County State <br />Aid Highway 26) from Fulham Street to Cleveland Avenue. <br />RESOLVED, that upon turnback and acceptance, that the above-described road segments shall <br />be and are hereby established, located and designated as Municipal State Aid Streets of said City, <br />subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota; and Be <br />It Further <br />RESOLVED, The Falcon Heights City Engineer is authorized within the limits of this resolution <br />to take actions necessary to have the identified jurisdiction changes executed. <br />• <br />111738 <br />
