Daykin <br />stated that the Falcon Woods neighborhood would be very supportive of keeping <br />Community Park a city park. <br />4. Directors Report <br />Maertz gave a summary of the trolley path meeting held at City Hall on June 12. <br />The meeting was generally positive, and there appears to be support for going <br />forward with some sort of improvements. Maertz informed the Commission <br />members that the DNR has awarded a matching grant of $54,000 for the trolley <br />path project. In order to contract with the DNR for the Grant Falcon Heights will <br />need the University of Minnesota to sign a memorandum of concurrence. The <br />University has signaled their willingness to do this if all 18 homeowners adjacent <br />to the trail will agree to the project. Maertz said that if the 18 homeowners agree <br />and the U signs then the next step would be to form a task force of neighbors <br />and Park Commissioners to establish some design criteria. <br />Meeting ended at 8:00 PM <br />Minutes respectfully submitted by Bill Maertz,.
