J <br />Participated in preliminary discussions with Falcon Heights Elementary School over <br />collaborative efforts to enhance recreation facilities at the school. Items discusse <br />d <br />include a new playground with a~reative play element and a hockey rink. <br />5. Recreation Coordinator search - Maertz stated that there were 26 applicants <br />and 6 people were interviewed. Staffwas prepared to make a job offer to Ann <br />Davy. <br />6. Trolley Path - Ma.ertz reviewed the design criteria that emerged from <br />neighborhood meetings. Kestrel Design Group is using the feedback from those <br />meetings. to develop a design concept that can be presented to the Grove <br />Association. Deers suggested that the design be preserved to the Trolley Path <br />group before it is presented to the Grove Association. <br />7. Falcon Heights Elementary School: recreation agreement - Maertz stated that <br />the school is seeking a financial commitment from the Cit to <br />y wards a new <br />playground and that the City wanted to eirter into a recreation agreement with the <br />school in order to expand recreational opportunities in the NE quadrant of Falcon <br />Heights. <br />8. Dead of Winter Event at Community Park scheduled for Feb 8 from 1:00 Pm <br />to 4:00 PM. <br />9. Goal Setting for 2004 <br />a. Complete Curtiss Field improvements <br />b. Resolve lease at Community Park <br />c. Move forward with getting approval for Trolley Path construction <br />d. Investigate recreation opportunities at Falcon Heights Elementary School <br />
