Minutes <br />• <br />City of Falcon Heights, Park and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />January 9, 2006 <br />6:30PM <br />Meeting Chair. Chuck Long <br />Minutes By. Lisa Anderson <br />Present. Pamela Harris, James Evans, Chuck Long, Annie Green, Lisa Anderson, <br />Pat Dolan, Gene Ozasky, Kimberly Kuhens, Paula Mielke <br />Absent: .Greg Hoag <br />1. Meeting called to order 6:34 PM <br />• 2. Approval of agenda <br />Motion made by Ozasky, seconded by Dolan. <br />Anderson asked that the process for the Comprehensive Plan update be <br />added to the agenda after the discussion of the 2006 goals and meeting <br />agendas. <br />3. Selection of 2006 Chair <br />Long reported that with the beginning of a new year, a new chair for the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission needs to be nominated and appointed. Long then <br />gave an overview of the responsibilities of the Chair, including running monthly <br />meetings, reviews what has been done and what may need to be done in the <br />future, attend appropriate meetings and workshops with City Council, and <br />finally take a turn in the Dunk Tank during the summer Ice Cream Social. <br />Ozasky made the first nomination for Long to continue as chair and Dolan <br />seconded the nomination. Green added her appreciation for how meetings <br />have been done and for new members it has been a (earning experience. At <br />this time Green agrees that Long would help them con~nue grasping how it all <br />works. <br />4. Addition of a Recording Secretary <br />• Anderson reported for Hoag the option of appointing a Commission member to <br />act as the Recording Secretary during meetings.
