i Minutes <br />City of Falcon Heights, Park and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />April 11, 2005 <br />7:00 PM <br />Meeting Chair. Chuck Long <br />Minutes By. Greg Hoag <br />Present. Patrick Dolan, James Evans, Chuck Long, Laura Kuettel, Greg Hoag <br />Absent: Kimberly Kuhens <br />1. Meeting called to order 7:00 PM <br />2. Approval of minutes February 14, 2005 (Evans, Long) Evans asked about the <br />• Parks and Recreation position, Hoag explained that January 1, 2005 the <br />position was merged with an administrative position to make afull-time <br />position with dual roles. <br />3. Approval of agenda <br />4. Staff Report <br />a. Recreation Supervisor /Administrative Assistant Position <br />Hoag reported that Lisa Anderson has been hired for the position. <br />There were 73 applicants for the position and that Lisa will be a great fit <br />for the City. Lisa comes to Falcon Heights with a BS degree in <br />Recreation, Parks and Leisure Studies as well as 10 years of municipal <br />experience. Lisa is currently wrapping up work in three other cities as <br />well as working part-time for. Falcon Heights. She will start full- time on <br />May 2. <br />b. New Commission Members <br />Hoag reported that the city has received and application from a resident <br />in the Grove neighborhood. Mayor Gehrz has spoken with Mr. Gene <br />Ozasky and is asking the City Council to appoint him to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission at Wednesday's meeting. It was noted that this <br />will bring the Commission to five members. There are still four <br />vacancies. Kuettel said she has a candidate, however the person is <br />
