<br />NEAR BALL PLUS <br />Near Ball Plus is a program offered in response to requests <br />for a Near Ball -like program for older children. Generally, <br />this program is intended for children ages 8, 9 and 10. It is <br />intended to help further develop a younsters ball playing <br />skills in a setting where the program structure and <br />philosophy is very similar to our popular Near Ball program. <br />Children can expect to play one game per week after the <br />first two weeks of the seaons. Near Ball Plus begins the <br />week of June 22 and continues: through July 30. <br />Days Location <br />Mon. & Wed. Falcon Heights School <br />Mon. & Wed. Curtiss Field <br />Tues. & Thurs. "What's there to do?" <br />Here's a fun program designed to give kids something to do <br />in August after most area recreational programs have come <br />to a close. Sessions will include a wide variety of activities <br />such as: crazy games and relays, tournaments, arts and <br />crafts, bingo, and entertainment. The class will concentrate <br />on learning basics of tennis including basic grips, strokes <br />and tennis rules. Classes will be held at the Falcon Heights <br />Community Park tennis courts. Beginning tennis is open to <br />all boys and girls entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. <br />Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, June 22 -July 15 <br />10:45 - 11:45 a.m. <br />Tuesdays & Thursdays, June 23 -July 16 <br />9:30 - 10:30 a.m. <br />Cost: $ 16.00 <br />ADVANCED BEGINNERS: This class is designed for <br />those who have played tennis and know the rules but <br />would like to improve their games. This class will be <br />tailored to help the individual develop at his or her own <br />rate. Advanced beginners is open to youngsters entering <br />6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
