BEGINNING BALL SKILLS This program is designed to give 4 and 5 year olds an opportunity to learn and practice a variety of basic ball handling skills. Using a variety of different balls, kids will do exercises, routines, and games that will involve dribbling, catching; passing, shooting, and throwing. Two sessions are being offered. Each will meet twice per week for four weeks. This program is guaranteed to be a ball for everyone Session I: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Tues, & Thurs. June 23 -July 16 Falcon Heights Community Park Session 11: 10:45 - 11:45 a.m., Mon. & Wed. June 22 -July 15 Curtiss Field Cost: $16.00 (Includes shirt) Program Minimum: 8 ~ . ~I~ SUMMER T-BALL FOR BOYS AND GIRLS T-Ball will be offered for boys and girls who are 5 and 6 years of age. Participants will work on the basic skills of baseball including: fielding, hitting, throwing, and basic rules of the game. Program emphasis will be on learning skills and having fun! Games will be played the last four weeks of the program. They will be played late afternoon and early evening, Monday - Thursday. A game schedule will be distributed early in the season. T-Ball begins the week of June 22 and continues through July 30. Days Location Time Mon. & Wed. FH School -Blue Jays 10:00 -10:50 a.m. Mon. & Wed. Curtiss Field -Orioles 7:10 - 8:00 p.m. Tue. & Thur. Participants will work on basic skills of baseball including fielding, hitting, throwing, and basic rules of the game. Near Ball is a program for youngsters who are beyond the T-Ball stage. In Near,Ball, the coaches pitch the ball. Program emphasis will be on learning skills and having fun! Games will be played late afternoon and early evening, Monday -Thursday. Community Park -Red Sox 7:00 - 7:50 p.m. Cost: $16.00 (includes shirt) Program Minimum: 8 MINNESOTA TWINS BASEBALL GAME See our Minnesota Twins play the Cleveland Indians at the H.H.H. Metrodome, on Wednesday, July 22, 1992. This trip will depart from the Falcon Heights City Hall at 11:15 a.m. and will return following the conclusion of the game (approximately 3:45 p.m.). A fee of $7.00 includes bus transportation and general admission to the game. Kids must be entering at least the 4th grade (or be accompanied by an adult) in order to participate in this event.
