• <br />i;iINUTES <br />PLANNING COI:~1'.rISSIODI I~~ETING <br />July 19, 1982 <br /> <br />The Planning Commission was called to order at 7:33 P.I~?. by Chairman <br />Al Stefanson. <br />Stefanson, Olson, Blomberg, T?ilsen, Bourquin, 'Iallin, Mead and <br />tialdo. Also present was Council Liaison Larson. <br />Labalestra. <br />This is a continuation of the July 15, 1982 Planning Commission <br />meeting since a quorum v~ras not present. <br />The June 7th minutes were discussed. Don Mead moves and ~tiary <br />'Ataldo seconds a motion to approve the minutes. ^Iotion carried <br />unanimously. <br />P~?.ichael P.Zax~Nell, 1l~27 ~~'est Idaho, requested a variance to expand <br />his present garage (22' x 2!~' - 528 square feet) to 768 square feet <br />(22~ x 32'), ~~~hich is 18 feet two inches over the square footage <br />allowed by Ordinance ;~64. The neighbors have no opr~osition to the <br />expansion.. Erma Olson pointed out that Itlr. t2axwell owns two antique <br />cars and is not in the business of restoration but is his hobby. <br />I~x. P~gaxw~ll stated that he would like to have these two antique cars <br />stored on his oNm property because of their large investment value. <br />Erma Olson moves, seconded by Jerry l`dalli.n, that the variance be <br />approved. It will be SHOPPING CENTER <br />placed eleven feet f rorn the service lane in 1-i ne jr:~i-f~Y~ the serv ~_ce station <br />sign. It will face north and south. Don dead moves approval of the <br />variance of the Falcon Center sign. ~'rrna Olson seconds the motion. <br />;lotion carried unanimously. <br />James Loughrey, 1859 Simpson, submitted a request to extend a planter <br />into the boulevard area. The Clerk Administrator was concerned that <br />the planter migrit be damaged in the event of problems with the water <br />utility. Ar7r. Loughrey was not present. Chairman Stefanson pointed out <br />to Commission members that part of this planter would be located on <br />the boulevard (city property) and the Planning Commission cannot <br />consider grantin variances to place anything on city property. <br />JA':~~5 LOUGHREY <br />1859 SIMPSON <br /> <br />
