• <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION <br />FEBRUARY 3, 1986 <br />Acting Chairman Mead called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. <br />Mead, Finegan, Black, Trent-Sullivan, Daykin, Duncan and Boche. PRESENT <br />Also present was Council Liaison Hard. <br />Northrop and Grittner. ABSENT <br />Finegan moved, seconded by Duncan, to approve the January 13, 1986 Minutes JANUARY 13 <br />as presented. Motion carried unanimously. MINUTES <br /> APPROVED <br />A conditional use request was requested by John L. Murray, 1744 Arona <br />Avenue, to allow the use of the residence by his wife, Dr. Jane Murray. CONDITIONAL <br />Dr. Murray is a family practitioner who would like to see patients in USE REQUEST <br />her home approximately four days a week with a patient load of about FROM JOHN <br />twenty. They plan on turning the back bedroom into an office equipped L. HURRAY, <br />with appropriate medical equipment and construct a ramp and outside 1744 ARONA <br />entrance to the south side of their home to allow wheel chair access. <br />Proposed widening of the driveway would accommodate additional parking. <br />They are requesting free standing signage. <br /> <br />Duncan expressed concern with a business in a residential area. It does <br />not add anything to the neighborhood (has no benefit, and felt that the DUNCAN <br />neighbors themselves were not particularly pleased. <br />Finegan personally felt that the 15/20 patients per week does not pose a FINEGAN <br />problem and approved of the general concept. His concern mainly centered <br />around the size of the signage and that no employees being hired. <br />Hard pointed out that Council will want to know what type of equipment HARD <br />will be installed, will the Fire Department have to be consulted and what <br />type of drug security is being proposed. Murray specifically stated that <br />they are not planning on having any prescription drugs. <br />Mead stated that delivery procedures will have to be monitored so no traffic MEAD <br />obstruction. He also advised that the signage as described in the Code <br />could not be more than two feet square. <br />Pat Phillips, 1740 Arona, <br />south side of the lot for <br />a survey be done.
