• <br />• <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 6, 1989 <br />PAGE 3 <br />setback variances. After discussion, the following motions were <br />made: <br />Carroll moved, seconded by Finegan, that the side yard setback for <br />principal structures or dwelling units should remain at five feet <br />but flexibility could be provided by allowing the side yard to be <br />decreased to a minimum of three feet if a maintenance easement is <br />recorded on the deeds of all affected properties. (No fences or <br />significant landscaping could be installed in the easement areas.) <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Boche moved, seconded by Carroll, that corner lots' side yard setbacks <br />shall be at least 20 percent of the lot width. Finegan moved a <br />friendly amendment to state that the setback could be up to a maximum <br />of fifteen feet. Motion died for lack of second. Main motion approved <br />unanimously. <br />Barry moved, seconded by Carroll, that a maximum percentage of 35 <br />percent may be used for lot coverage of the rear 20 percent of the <br />lot for accessory structures. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Carroll moved, seconded by Duncan, the following slate of officers <br />for 1989: Black - Chairman, Finegan, Vice-Chairman and Secretary. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Finegan moved, seconded by Barry, the starting time for the Planning <br />Commission meetings will be 7:30 P.M. and the ending time will be <br />10:00 P.M. Meetings can be extended only by unanimous vote. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Black declared the meeting adjourned at 10:20 P.M. <br />Submitted by: <br />Katherine J.
