<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />APRIL 3, 1989 <br />Chairman Black called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. <br />Black, Carroll, Duncan, Barry, Finegan, Daykin, and Boche. PRESENT <br />Also present was Council Liaison Wallin. <br />Nesti_ngen and Grittner. ABSENT <br />Barry moved, seconded by Duncan, <br />Planning Commission Minutes as p <br />Chairman Black opened the public <br />that notice was published in the <br />reviewed the City Code changes. <br />to approve the March 3, 1989 3/3/89 <br />resented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES <br />hearing at 7:35 P.M. and advised APPROVED <br />Falcon Heights Focus. He briefly <br />PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br />Joanne Behrens, 3.816 Tatum, questioned whether their lot would <br />be affected by the subdivision/setback changes in the City Code. <br />She has an undeveloped lot which she would like to se7.1 in the <br />future. <br />John Burns, 1910 Asbury, asked whether the <br />would affect the placement of his uti]_ity <br />to corner lot setbacks which would require <br />in another location. <br />There being no others wishing to be heard, <br />the public hearing at 7:57 P.M. <br />changes being made <br />shed. He objects <br />his shed being placed <br />Chairman Black c]_osed <br />Finegan moved approval of the Code Amendments and recommended <br />they be sent to the City Council for consideration. The motion <br />was seconded by Carroll and approved unanimously. <br />Chairman B1_ack led a discussion on staff assistance to the Planning <br />Commission and requested input on how members felt regarding <br />wriat type of assistance should be requested. <br />Boche was of the opinion that staff recommendations should be <br />coming from City Administrator Wiessner on each petition that <br />comes before the Planning Commission. Who she turns to for <br />her recommendations is her decision. The Planning Commission <br />can then have the benefit of a recommendation as it ]_oses when <br />it does not have that kind of staff review and input into the <br />process.
