<br />• <br />• <br />Planning Commission <br />Minutes <br />February 17, 1.976 <br />The Commission discussed rezoning of the six lots to the north of <br />the business area, which are presently resid®ntial, and the effect. <br />this would have for the owners if they were to sell their homes. <br />It was felt hardships could be caused in selling the property if <br />it were zoned coi~rnercial. <br />"~'Ioved by Member Larsen, seconded by Member Blomberg that the Planning <br />Commission rec;ommend that no presently occupied residential property <br />should be blanketly rezoned for commercial use at this time. <br />Rnll C!~l't ~ Azra~e ~~~ Nav4 ~fl~ <br />Member Larsen recommended that ;the Engineer be directed to make a <br />study of the traffic flow in the alley north of Larpenteur Avenue <br />between Snelling and Arona for consideration that this alley be <br />made a ons'-.way alley from west to east in order to alleviate traffic <br />problems. <br />Tt was suggested that the six property owners abutting the alley <br />be contacted as to their feelings on a one-way alley. <br />The Commission also was of the opinion that snow removal should <br />be itsproved and the area better patrolled. <br />Discussion of Ordinance #6~ <br />Possible changes in Ordinanc® #6!~ were discussed. These .were as <br />follows <br />1. Change the word "Village" to "City" throughout. <br />2. Section 3.2 (7) Boardinghouse: Delete "but not to exce®d <br />eight ( 8) pArSOn3, tt <br />3. Section 3.2 (11) Cellar: Delete word "cellar'}, coordinate <br />this section with Section 3.2 (6). <br />!~. Section 3.2 (Z2) Commercial Dog Kennel: Change to 3 or more <br />dogs . <br />5. Section 3.2 (57) Delete "and a cellar shall not be counted as <br />a story". <br />6. Section 6,3 (2) Add same wording as Section t3.2 (!~). <br />Suggested also; Review of entire section relating to Parking. <br />Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m. <br />• <br /> <br />
