Schwantes. arrived <br />Charles Stone at 9:00 p.m. <br />Leo Ohman <br />Robert Blomberg <br />Les Larsen <br />Geraldine Jenkins <br />Councilman Mack <br />ABSENT: James Lammers <br />Oksana Yonan <br />George Plant, Chairman, reported on a meeting he would be attending <br />at the request of the City Council on February 2s and 26, 1g 76, <br />concerning the functions and objectives of Planning Commissions. <br />Planning Conmtission Meeting Change <br />Moved by Member Stone, seconded by Member Larsen that the Planning <br />Commission will meet regularly on the second Monday of each month <br />at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall. <br />Roll Call: Ayes (6) Nays (0) <br />Discussion; Zoning of Business Area <br />Discussion was held regarding the proposed Businessrntan~s Rezoning <br />Plan and land available for business expansion. <br />Member Larsen suggested that something should be done about, the <br />parking situation in the area of the Flameburger, 1533 West Larpenteur, <br />before ar;ything further was done to update the area. He felt the <br />area should have less businesses and more parking available. He also <br />noted there were no unloading facilities provided for the K and K <br />Hardware Store. <br />Members of the Planning Commission felt that beautification of the <br />existing business area on Larpenteur Avenue was the responsibility <br />of the property owners and not the City. It was their opinion, also, <br />that residents were not really interested in attracting more business <br />establishments to the area. <br />i. <br />
