FALCON HEIGHTS PLANNING COMMISSION <br />• Oct. 9~ 1973 <br />PRESENT Blomberg, Ohman, Plant, Schwantes, Berdie and. Trustee Black <br />• ~ ~~ ,= . <br />'~ ABSENT : Lammers and Larsen <br />ALSO PRESENT Mr. and Mrs. Reiter <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall <br />. R. Co Reiter The Reiters, who live at 1506 W. California, were present <br />at the meeting to explain that they would. like to add. <br />three feet to the rear of their garage in order to get <br />their car into the garage. The addition would put the garage just three <br />feet from the neighbors lot line. They had with them a letter from the <br />• neighbor indicating that he had no objection to the addition. The <br />Reiters plan to finish the exterior of the new addition with the same <br />materials as the present structure so that it will look appropriate. <br />On motion by Berdie, seconded by Schwantes, the Planning Commission voted <br />unanimously to recommend to the Village Council that they approve the <br />application for a variance. <br />Ronald A. Nelson: Mr. Nelson of 1764 Asbury would. like to build. a new <br />one car garage within three feet of his neighbor's pro- <br />• party line on the south side of his lot. If he allows <br />for. the 5 foot set-back he will not have enough ~ga~ce .,~o <br />build the garage. His sketch showed that the neighbors garage is <br />presently three feet from his lot line. <br />On motion by Ohman, seconded by Blomber~,the Planning Commission ti*oted. <br />unanimously to recommend. to the Vil7,age Council that they approve the <br />application for a variance provid that the neighbor involved has no <br />objection and assuming that the rear yard set-back conforms to the <br />ordinance. <br />Having no further business, Chairman Plant adjourned. the meeting, at <br />8:30 p.m. <br />Rye pectfully submitted., <br />f~ ^ <br />Frances Berdie, Secretary <br />', <br />• <br />
