FALCON HEIGHTS PLANNING COMMISSION • Oct. 9~ 1973 PRESENT Blomberg, Ohman, Plant, Schwantes, Berdie and. Trustee Black • ~ ~~ ,= . '~ ABSENT : Lammers and Larsen ALSO PRESENT Mr. and Mrs. Reiter The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall . R. Co Reiter The Reiters, who live at 1506 W. California, were present at the meeting to explain that they would. like to add. three feet to the rear of their garage in order to get their car into the garage. The addition would put the garage just three feet from the neighbors lot line. They had with them a letter from the • neighbor indicating that he had no objection to the addition. The Reiters plan to finish the exterior of the new addition with the same materials as the present structure so that it will look appropriate. On motion by Berdie, seconded by Schwantes, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend to the Village Council that they approve the application for a variance. Ronald A. Nelson: Mr. Nelson of 1764 Asbury would. like to build. a new one car garage within three feet of his neighbor's pro- • party line on the south side of his lot. If he allows for. the 5 foot set-back he will not have enough ~ga~ce .,~o build the garage. His sketch showed that the neighbors garage is presently three feet from his lot line. On motion by Ohman, seconded by Blomber~,the Planning Commission ti*oted. unanimously to recommend. to the Vil7,age Council that they approve the application for a variance provid that the neighbor involved has no objection and assuming that the rear yard set-back conforms to the ordinance.
