:PLH.NNTNG CO~~UlISSION <br />Public Hearing of July 15, 1965 <br />at Village Ha11 <br />Members presents Chairman Plant, Hindermann, Ohman, Otis, Libby, Larson, <br />Black and A~agnuson (zoning administrator}. <br />Tdembers absent: Mrs. Berdie. <br />Meeting was called to order by Ghairman Plant at 7s1~5 P.I1g. Notice of Hearing <br />and petition-for rezoning were read as follo~rs: Notice is hereb~yr given that the <br />P3~hn~ig':-'Comm:'.. of the Village of falcon Heights will meet in the Council <br />Chambers of the Village of Falcon Heights at 7:30 P.M. on July 15, 19b5 -~o <br />consider an application and petition for the rezoning of that real estate <br />described as: <br />The East 1~6b.96 feet of North 93.34 feet of the <br />South 943•b9 feet of S~ l/!~ of the SE 1/4 of <br />Sec. 17, Township 29, Range 23. <br />(also described as 1695 N. Cleveland ~ivenue) <br />from R-1 to BlA zaning pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 64 of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference <br />to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting. <br />It is planned to sell the property to Twin City Testing Laboratory for storage <br />of tools, equipment and trucks, George Nelson, 1689 North Cleveland stated that <br />he did. not wish to move from his lot to the south. <br />It was pointed out that rezoning of the <br />be unfortunate. ~%ither all three lots <br />remain R-1, <br />center lot of three (R-1} to B1A would <br />should be rezoned to Bl~ or all should <br />Bill Olsen-178. North Pascal-Garage. Cdr. Olsen presented. a proposal to move his <br />garage from one straddling the lot line (cooperative with neighbor} to one set back <br />from the lot line by two feet. Ohman suggested that the set-back of proposed <br />garage be a minimum of 30 inches instead of 24 inches. It was moved by Larson, <br />seconded by C?hman that the set back of 30 inches be recommended to the Council. <br />Motion passed. <br />Everett Holes-1771 North Fry Street-Garage. Mr, Holes wishes to locate detached <br />garage in front of the house. If garage is attached to the house, there is no <br />ordinance violation. Ohman moved. that it be recommended to the Council that if <br />the garage is attached to the house, there is no variance required. If unattached, <br />that the variance be allowed if property owners within 300 feet give their approval. <br />Motion passed. <br />
