<br />4.9 Dead-end streets, designed to be so permanently, shall not <br />be longer. than 400 feet and shall be provided at the closed end <br />with a turn-around having an outside roadway diameter of at <br />least 80 feet, and a street property line diameter of at least <br />100 feet. <br />4.10 Street names shall be subject to the approval of the Council. <br />4.11 Street grades, wherever feasible, shall meet current policies <br />of the American-Association of State Highway Officials for <br />urban areas (AASHO). <br />4.12 No street grades shall be less than one per cent (1~). <br />Alleys <br />4.13 Alleys shall be provided in commercial and industrial <br />districts, except that the Council may waive this requirement <br />where other definite and assured provision is made for service <br />access, sucYi as off-street loading, unloading,. and parking <br />consistent with and adequate for the uses proposed. <br />4.14 The width of an alley shall be a minimum of 20 feet. <br />4.15 A11ey intersections and sharp changes in alignment shall be <br />avoided, but where necessary, corners shall be cut off sufficiently <br />to permitsafe vehicular movement: <br />4.16 Dead-end alleys-shall be avoided. <br />
