Mr. Jerome Franke, representing Mr. Richard Simp$on, presented their pra- <br />posa7. for a used car lot on the land directly south cxf ~eberas Cottage Inn. <br />The iot is 104 by 173a deep. I~rr. Landis of <br />1534 Cra~eford felt it vrould add to the already congested parking problem in <br />that area. fir. Schmidt at "1725 ;Asbury ;Ave. felt it vas an undesirable type <br />of busix~ss. fine other resident just opposed it. <br />-After considerab3:a discussion, the Commission passed by a vote of 3 to 2 a <br />motion made by fir. Hindermann and seconded by I~r. f}hman that the Commission <br />recommend to the Council that they deny the request as it was #'elt that the <br />use of this section of hand for a used car lot would not ba in harmony with the <br />general nature of the Falcon Heights coning ordinance. <br />2. Plans submitted by ~.r. ~.be.lestra for the development of taco apa~nnent buildings <br />an hi.s lots lying north of La.rpent.aeur an the easterly side of Tatum wars r®- <br />vie~d. <br />The Commission felt that Bdr. Labalestra .should plat his property into tiro <br />separate lots {Lot -A .and Lot B). He has indicated that he expects to build <br />the northern-most apartment first (Lot A). xis plans call. far this to be an <br />eleven unit apartment building. As the plans are drawn, there is not enough <br />sgve.re fo~taga in Lot :A tv accomodate an eleven-unit building. <br />The recommendation of the Planning Commission to the Council w~ that the <br />Council grant approval to Mr. Labaestra to build an eleven unit apa~uent <br />building on Lot :A if he makes Lot .A conform to the proper size (srlusare <br />footage) as indicated by the Building Code far an eleven unit apartment. <br />(This will require extending Lot lies forra perm~.t~to build~thedsecondnapart- <br />Lot Bshould be given ~rhen he app <br />merit building. <br />5.
