Meeting Date: 1/13/93 <br /> Agenda Item: C -6 <br /> CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br /> REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> ITEM DESCRIPTION: Contract for legal services for prosecution <br /> with Peterson, Fram and Bergman <br /> SUBMITTED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator <br /> REVIEWED BY: Jerry Filla, City Prosecuting Attorney <br /> EXPLANATION /SUMMARY: <br /> On October 28, 1992, the city council agreed to hire the firm of <br /> Peterson, Fram and Bergman for prosecution services. The <br /> attached contract delineates the service and fees. <br /> Please note that section II. C. includes the provision of civil <br /> services upon request. This is included because there may be <br /> times when Mr. Filla can provide legal counsel if there is a <br /> conflict of interest with Leonard, Street and Deinard or it is <br /> prudent. The rate for civil consultation is $90 /hour (rather <br /> than $65 /hour for prosecution as identified in the proposal from <br /> Peterson, Fram and Bergman. <br /> Both contracts for legal services provide the city the right to <br /> retain services from other law firms as deemed necessary by the <br /> city council and /or city administrator. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> A Proposed contract for legal services for prosecution. <br /> 0A <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Approve contract for prosecution services with Peterson, Fram and <br /> Bergman. <br /> en onsc 'an en on nt o n t r nt <br />
