LARPENTEUR AVENUE FALCON HEIGHTS, MN 55113 -5594 PHONE (612) 644 -5050 FAX (612) 644-8675 <br /> 8 January 1993 <br /> MEMO <br /> TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br /> FROM: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator <br /> RE: Report on Roseville Area Youth Hockey Association <br /> Application for Registration for Charitable Gambling <br /> Introduction <br /> The Roseville Area Youth Hockey Association is applying for a <br /> registration for charitable gambling for pull tabs at Falcon <br /> Lanes, 1550 West Larpenteur Avenue. The Minnesota State <br /> Charitable Gambling Board licenses the association. However, a <br /> license will not be granted unless the City of Falcon Heights <br /> approves a premises permit for the site of the activity. <br /> Conformance to city ordinance <br /> The Roseville Area Youth Hockey Association registration <br /> application meets the criteria for approval in Chapter 5 Section <br /> 15.01 et seq. of the city code. In particular, the location of <br /> the proposed pull tab operation conforms to the criteria of <br /> Chapter 5 Section 15.01 Subdivision 4 (a) relating to <br /> operational, land use and nuisance conditions governing the <br /> disapproval of this registration. <br /> Briefly, these are: <br /> 1. The Roseville Area Youth Hockey Association complies <br /> with terms of other gambling licenses and does not <br /> demonstrate a history of non compliance. <br /> 2. The premises are in a commercial zone. <br /> 3. The land area and setbacks of the existing shopping <br /> center, where the bowling alley is located, meets the <br /> minimums established by the district. <br /> 4.
