There were eight <br /> bidders on the project with F. M. Frattalone Excavating and Grading, Inc., the low bidder at <br /> $879,018.75. <br /> After reviewing the bids, we have determined that the assessment rates will not change from those <br /> provided at the public hearing regarding streets, overlay, sidewalk, and storm sewer. Our review of <br /> the low bid indicates, however, that the unit prices for watermain and sanitary sewer are higher than <br /> commonly found for similar type work. We will be meeting with F. M. Frattalone Excavating and <br /> Grading, Inc., to discuss these costs. Following this meeting, further information will be provided to <br /> you by separate letter. We will be prepared to discuss the bid and answer any questions you may have <br /> at the April 14, 1993, City Council meeting. <br /> The next step in the project schedule is to order preparation of the assessment roll and set the <br /> assessment hearing date. Please find enclosed the following resolutions for Council consideration: <br /> 1. Resolution Declaring Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of Proposed Assessment. <br /> 2. Resolution for Hearing on Proposed Assessment. <br /> We recommend that the public hearing be scheduled for the May 12, 1993, City Council meeting.
