5 -2.03 <br /> D. Mechanical Contractors. <br /> 1. Requests. Applicant must have a certificate <br /> of competency from the City of St. Paul, <br /> Minneapolis or other major city in the state <br /> having a competency program. <br /> 2. Permit. A permit shall be required prior to <br /> installation, alteration or repair of any <br /> mechanical equipment. Fees are as established <br /> in 5 -5.01 of this code. <br /> E. Plumbing Contractors. <br /> 1. State License Required. No person, firm or <br /> corporation shall install, maintain or repair <br /> plumbing with the city without first being <br /> licensed by the State of Minnesota as a <br /> Master Plumber. <br /> 2. Applicable Standards. The Minnesota Plumbing <br /> Code as adopted by the Minnesota State Board of <br /> Health and as amended, is hereby adopted and <br /> shall be in full force and effect in this city. <br /> 3. Permit. A permit shall be required prior to <br /> installation, alteration or repair of any <br /> plumbing including sewers. Fees as established <br /> in Chap. 5, 5 -5.01. <br /> F. Removal, Trimming and Treatment of Trees. <br /> 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to cut, trim, <br /> prune, remove, spray or otherwise treat trees, <br /> on any public or private property, for another, <br /> without a license. <br /> 2. Exception. No license shall be required when the <br /> work to be done is performed under the direction <br /> of public utility otherwise authorized to use the <br /> streets of the city for work related to such <br /> utilities. <br /> 8 <br />
