February 2, 1993
City of Falcon Heights:
Attached is the site plan and completed forms requesting that my present fence of five
feet be raised to eight feet to bring it in scale with the garage at 1433.
Since the City's mistake made it possible for the 4 -car garage of extreme height to be
completed, I have certainly the right to protect my property values for resale. Mr. Brace
has agreed not to raise any objections.
believe the $45.00 application fee and the $50.00 permit fee should be waived or
absorbed by the City. It was the error made by city officials that is causing a $3,000
expenditure on my part to change my fencing to somewhat obscure the "monstrosity' as
the city official called it, and to bring the garage and my fencing into a better scale which
enhances the neighborhood by so doing.
I spoke of favoritism regarding the garage. I am not asking for a favor. I am terminally
ill and believe I have the right of full enjoyment of our garden where we spend all
summer. We have planted ten large tress, extensive shrubs, perennials and annuals.
We have enhanced the immediate neighborhood and all of Falcon Heights benefits.
To deny the request to waive the fees or a variance would be unjust.
Sincerely,
Ray V. King
cc: Residents
I P, J. ```-7-174
ma y
e itte r Af-
