Attached is a copy of <br /> a September 3, 1992 letter, from us to the City which briefly discusses the reconstruction <br /> options and provides a "rough" estimated cost. Basically, assuming a 9 -ton design and <br /> depending on how much subgrade correction and storm sewer is needed the cost to a typical 50 <br /> foot wide lot would be $750 $1,000. <br /> We would recommend that this process begin with an informational hearing for affected property <br /> owners. This approach has worked successfully on the last two street reconstruction projects. <br /> Such a hearing would present reconstruction options, cost estimates, and funding alternatives. <br /> An informational hearing would be followed by a feasibility study, public hearing, project <br /> design, and ultimately construction. Given the time of the year and concern regarding State Fair <br /> traffic, it may be advisable to think in terms of 1994 construction. <br /> As we discussed, Tuesday, May 25, 1993 would be a workable date for an informational <br /> hearing.
