CONTRACT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT entered into this day of <br /> 19 by and between the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, <br /> hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" and Conworth, Inc. <br /> hereinafter referred to as the "Consultant." <br /> WITNESSETH THAT: <br /> WHEREAS, the Contractor proposes to acquire certain property and <br /> desires that the Consultant furnish the Contractor certain <br /> services with respect to such property including and inclusive of <br /> the services described in Article A of this Contract and the <br /> Consultant represents that it is fully qualified to perform such <br /> services and will provide such services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the services to be provided under this Contract are <br /> necessary to achieve the purposes of the Contractor's project, <br /> the Uniform Real Property Acquisition and Relocation Policies Act <br /> of 1970 as amended and of the implementing regulations applicable <br /> thereto. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Contractor and the <br /> Consultant, for the consideration and under the conditions <br /> hereinafter set forth, do agree as follows: <br /> A. Services <br /> 1. Residential Relocation Services Implementing the Project: <br /> a. The Consultant will distribute an information booklet <br /> on residential relocation assistance and all <br /> appropriate forms and data to each resident expected <br /> to be displaced. At this time the Consultant will: <br /> 1) Obtain a signed receipt for the informational <br /> booklet provided by the Consultant in accordance <br /> with applicable regulations. <br /> 2) Explain the residential relocation program and the <br /> resident's responsibilities to receive benefits. <br /> 3) Explain how to receive various kinds of assistance <br /> in finding replacement housing. <br /> 4) Survey the resident's relocation needs. <br /> 5) Advise residents of their right to appeal the <br /> amount of each payment and the services, as well <br /> as the procedure to follow. <br /> b. Upon the Contractor's initiation of negotiations to <br /> acquire the project site, the Consultant will: <br />
