Over <br /> the years her work has brought her into contact with many members <br /> of the community. It is time to recognize Shirley for her <br /> community spiritedness and dedication to her job as well as <br /> wish her well in her upcoming retirement. <br /> Shirley has agreed to attend an informal "drop -in" community open <br /> house at city hall beginning at 4 PM until 7 PM on Friday, <br /> January 21, 1994. However, her participation is contingent upon <br /> the casual nature of the event and the guarantee that there will <br /> be no speeches. <br /> Staff plans to notify people by word -of- mouth, a notice in the <br /> church bulletin, letters to some people and a notice in the FOCUS <br /> newspapers. <br /> Food ideas include coffee, juice, cookies and a couple of meat <br /> and cheese trays. <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Approve a community recognition event for Shirley Chenoweth. <br />
