State statute requires <br /> the city to designate a legal newspaper of general circulation in <br /> the city. The Focus is circulated to all Falcon Heights <br /> homeowners. The Roseville Review provides papers to most of the <br /> area east of Snelling Avenue but only one small area west of <br /> Snelling, an area in which over half of the city's registered <br /> voters reside. <br /> The rate structure for legals, effective January 1, 1994, will <br /> be: <br /> 1 column width: <br /> $0.77 per line first insertion ($8.47 per col. in.) <br /> $0.44 per line subsequent insertions ($4.84 per col. in.) <br /> 2 column width: <br /> $1.54 per line first insertion ($16.94 per col. in.) <br /> $.88 per line subsequent insertion ($9.68 per col. in.) <br /> An example of an average ordinance publication is attached. Cost <br /> would be approximately $40.00. <br /> Notarized affidavits will be provided for each publication as <br /> required by law. <br /> The Focus has been the city's official newspaper for the past <br /> several years and has proven to be reliable and cooperative. <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Designate The Focus as the city's offical <br /> newspaper for 1994. <br /> e Consent oe� Consent on C t <br />
