HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION <br /> DECEMBER 21ST, 1993 <br /> MINUTES <br /> A. CALL TO ORDER <br /> B. ROLL CALL: Present were; Bowers, Gibson Talbot, Sheppard, Willems,and <br /> Guest Susan Hoyt <br /> C. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES <br /> D. TOPICS OF DISCUSSIONS WERE; <br /> 1. Letter of Thank You from the Commission to Shirley for all the work <br /> she has done for us. <br /> 2. A morning coffee meeting for the business community to discuss <br /> accessibility issues stemming form the A.D.A. was thought to be a good idea. Further <br /> discussion as to the wording of the invitation was thought to be needed. <br /> 3. A Brochure from the Human Rights Commission will be developed by <br /> Gwen, Dave and Ed.work on this will be in progress. <br /> 4. Gwen reported on the Human Rights Meeting she attended. There is a <br /> meeting of the International Human Rights Conference in Canada, that Gwen would like to <br /> attend representing our commission to gain further insight into the Human Rights issues. <br /> Our Buget allows for $125.00. <br /> 5. Advertisements will be place in the papers for vacancies on the <br /> commission. <br /> 6. Dave will contact Wayne to see if he can attend the January 18th meeting <br /> of the commission. <br /> 7. There was disscussion for the election of a new Chairperson to take over <br /> for Wayne Groff at the January 18th meeting. Please try to attend this meeting. <br /> E. ADJOURNMENT AT 8:00 PM <br /> F.
