However, due to conflicts with reconstruction projects, no seal coat <br /> improvements were undertaken the last two years. There is no conflict with street construction <br /> in 1994. Therefore, we would recommend that the City once again undertake a seal coating <br /> improvement project. <br /> 5TRUC BRA` According to our records, in 1994 the northeast quarter of the City should be seal coated. This <br /> would be the area lying north of Larpenteur Avenue and east of Snelling Avenue. As you <br /> SURVEYING requested, we have also reviewed the condition of the streets in the area south of the Falcon <br /> Woods area. These streets are scheduled to be seal coated in 1996. Based on our visual <br /> TRAFFIC inspection, we believe the streets are in sufficient condition to wait until the scheduled time for <br /> seal coating. Therefore, we recommend not including that particular area with 1994's project. <br /> TRANSPORTATION <br /> In order to ensure that a seal coat project can be undertaken and completed well before the start <br /> of the State Fair, we would recommend that the City Council consider authorizing the <br /> preparation of plans and specifications at this time. This will allow us to bid the project in early <br /> spring and be one of the first seal coating projects undertaken when weather permits construction <br /> to begin.
