As far as he knew, the only contract this company <br /> had was with him. They did not do any stump removal for him. Their trimming cuts were not done <br /> correctly and he had to give them special directions. The company trimmed trees on Hoyt when it <br /> was still a county road and the cuts were made improperly. The other reference listed is on leave. <br /> 2. Twin City Tree <br /> No cities listed as references, only private individuals. Topped a tree on Tatum last year which we <br /> received numerous complaints about. Talked with the forester later in the summer and was <br /> argumentative about the cause of a private elm becoming infected with Dutch elm disease. That <br /> elm was partially removed during the discussion and many of the tree branches lying on the ground <br /> were propped up against the side of the house, suggesting they'd brushed against the house <br /> during their removal. <br /> 3. S S Tree Specialists, Inc. <br /> References were checked in 1992 before contracting with them for tree trimming and all the <br /> references were favorable, actually glowing. <br /> 4. Ceres <br /> References were checked in 1992 before awarding the tree trimming contract. Comments <br /> indicated questions about their competence in trimming and getting work done in a timely fashion. <br /> Rated them as having good workers and doing the job in accordance with specifications. <br /> 5. Rainbow TreeCare <br /> Most expensive proposal. <br />
