Meeting Date: 3/9/94 <br /> Agenda Item: P -3 <br /> CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br /> REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> ITEM DESCRIPTION: Proposed resolution declaring the cost to be <br /> assessed and ordering the proposed assessment <br /> SUBMITTED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator <br /> REVIEWED BY: Peter Bachman, City Attorney <br /> EXPLANATION /SUMMARY: <br /> The Roseville Independent School District #623 and the city <br /> entered into an agreement to have the city assess certain <br /> improvements to the Falcon Heights Elementary School site at 1393 <br /> Garden Avenue. The assessment is to be for $250,000. The <br /> assessment will carry a minimum interest rate of 6.1 <br /> On February 23, 1994 the city council ordered the preparation of <br /> the plans and specifications for the school improvements. <br /> Following the order for improvements, the city must adopt a <br /> resolution declaring the cost to be assessed and ordering the <br /> proposed assessment to the school district. <br /> This process is streamlined for this project because the school <br /> district waived its right to a public hearing on the proposed <br /> assessment as part of the agreement. <br /> ATTACHMENT <br /> A Proposed resolution assessing certain improvements <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Adopt the resolution assessing the Roseville Independent School <br /> District #623 for $250,000 for the improvements to 1393 Garden <br /> Avenue under the terms of the city and school district agreement. <br />
