11. Gwen,John and Dave will met March 13 to formulate an advertisement for the <br /> newspapers of vacancies on the Commission. <br /> 12. Sue Gehrz our City Council member stated that the City Council would like to get <br /> together with us for an informal meeting and discussion as to our direction and offer any <br /> assistance we may need. The informal meeting will be June 8th at the council meeting after <br /> their business meeting. It was felt that we should have some of our ideas and planned <br /> projects organized for presentation. We all look forward to the meeting and any <br /> suggestions they may have. <br /> 13. Sue Gehrz also brought a video tape on Bullying that was viewed and may at a future <br /> time be a topic for a seminar to be hosted by our commission. <br /> 14. Concerning the mediation training for commissioners, Sue Gehrz commented that there <br /> was a general consensus of the City Council to hire a mediation service for any disputes <br /> that may arise. This will not preclude future training of our commissioners should the <br /> training become available through the State again. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M. <br /> ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING; <br /> 1. Advertisement to be placed in local papers for new commission members. <br /> 2. John will contact schools for youth commission member. <br /> 3. Bring ideas for Seminars. <br /> 4. Begin to organize and plan for future projects and items to be accomplished for <br /> presentation to the City Council in June. <br /> 5. Discuss name change of the commission. <br /> 6. Bring ideas on how to make our meetings more interesting and how to best present our <br /> ideas to the public. <br /> NEXT MEETING IS APRIL 12TH AT 7:00 P.M.
