o CITY OF
.2
FALCON HEIGHTS
2077 W. LARPENTEUR AVENUE FALCON HEIGHTS, MN 55113 -5594 PHONE (612) 644 -5050 FAX (612) 644 -8675
May 26, 1995
Mr. Fred Hoisington
Hoisington and Koegler
7300 Metro Blvd Suite 525
Minneapolis, MN 55439
Dear Fred:
I've enclosed the proposed educational demonstration and display garden plan for the
Minnesota Horticultural Society. The garden plan encroaches onto the city right -of-
way, primarily because the Society's site has very little open area within which to
develop gardens. This is an opportunity for the Society to demonstrate its landscaping
and gardening techniques within a confined urban space. The Society's cover letter
states that it is the garden is designed to plant prairie vegetation in a very controlled
urban setting. The proposed garden will surround the sign in front of the building.
Although the proposed landscaping is prepared by an established organization with
substantial expertise in gardening, I'd like one of your landscape architect's to provide
me with his or her comments on the planting scheme just to assure the city that this
demonstration plot will work within the location described. These comments may be
very brief.
Please bill the city separately for this service.
Thank you very much.
Very truly yours,
usan Hoyt
City Administrator
HOME OF THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR AND THE U OF M INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE
ED
e PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
nu an ts4
