Goal 6: To effectively manage the city's resources. <br /> III Action item 1: Review and develop a five year capital improvement <br /> program that anticipates city needs while planning <br /> for the most fiscally prudent way to fund these <br /> projects. (This is especially true for street projects <br /> using Minnesota State Aid funds and other <br /> resources.) <br /> Goal 7: To effectively use staff and consultants. <br /> Action item 1: Annually evaluate the use of consultant's time for <br /> projects <br /> investigate having the public works /parks <br /> superintendent draw up sealcoating bids <br /> rather than the city engineer <br /> Action item 2: Annually evaluate the performance and workload <br /> assignments of staff to most effectively use their <br /> individual skills in providing city services <br /> Action item 3: Revise the personnel policies <br /> III Action item 4: Continue improving staff capabilities by providing <br /> computers <br /> purchase two computers and a new printer so <br /> that computers may be provided to the public <br /> works department and the fire department <br /> 5 <br />
