RAI <br /> f I l* <br /> SECTION WAERO ):CARGR�?�([� »�`?�M »tATER..D <br /> 3 -5.01 Storm Water Drainage Utility Established. <br /> The city storm sewer system shall be operated as a public utility <br /> pursuant to M.S. Chapter 444.075 from which the revenues will be <br /> derived subject to the provisions of this chapter and Minnesota Statutes. <br /> A. Definition of Residential Equivalent Factor (REF). <br /> One (1) REF is defined as the ratio of the average runoff generated by <br /> one (1) acre of a given land use to the average volume of runoff <br /> generated by one (1) acre of typical single family residential land, during <br /> a standard one (1) year rainfall event. <br /> B. Storm Water Drainage Fee Calculations. Storm water drainage fees <br /> for parcels of land shall be determined by multiplying the REF for parcels <br /> of land use by the parcel's acreage and then multiplying the resulting <br /> product by the storm water drainage rate. The REF values for various <br /> land uses are as follows: <br /> CLASSIFICATION LAND USES REF <br /> 1 Single family duplex 0.25 <br /> 2 Schools Institutions 1.25 <br /> 3 Multiple family residential, 2.50 <br /> churches and governmental <br /> buildings <br /> 4 Commercial 5.00 <br /> 5 Golf courses and open .25 <br /> undeveloped areas <br /> d** <br />
