kr z tt ,L&6,.., a.
40 CITY OF
FALCON HEIGHTS FIRE DEPARTMENT
"SNOW AM&
2077 W. LARPENTEUR AVENUE FALCON HEIGHTS, MN 55113 -5594 PHONE (612) 644-5050 FAX (612) 644 -8675
September 8, 1994
Dear Susan Hoyt City Council Members,
Our fire department will be conducting its annual fire prevention week open house on
October 15th, 1994. This has been a very successful event for the Fire Department
over the last few years. It is a great opportunity for the public to learn about fire
prevention and have fun doing it.
In order to do this though, we need funding for the event. Last year, we were fortunate
enough to have some materials donated by members to keep the costs down.
Unfortunately this year we do not have these resources. Therefore the budget has
gone up.
Last year we spent approximately $412 dollars, with $233 dollars being donated be
the Falcon Heights Lauderdale Lions Club for T- Shirts. This year the Fire
Department, due to truck repairs and so forth, will only be able to donate
approximately $150 for the Open House. The Relief Association will also be
l contributing about $150 dollars. This leaves approximately $500 dollars left to be
covered for expenses.
The Lions Club has offered to assist in covering the some of the costs that are left over.
Specifically the T -shirts at a cost of $440 dollars. If the council would be willing to
contribute more toward the Open House or allow us to receive a donation from the
Lions Club (or both), it would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
1,,,.„. tea
Gregory S.
