The city is constrained by legislative <br /> requirements as to hearing dates. The school district, county and special taxing <br /> districts scheduled their hearings for: <br /> County 12/13/94 <br /> 12/20/94 <br /> Metro <br /> Taxing 12/05/94 <br /> Districts 12/12/94 <br /> School 12/06/94 <br /> 12/14/94 <br /> In order to have a continuation hearing date that meets the statutes, the city cannot <br /> schedule its hearing between December 14 and December 19. <br /> Given these constraints staff recommends that the city schedule its hearing for 7PM <br /> on Wednesday, December 7,1994 and its continuation hearing (if necessary) for 7PM <br /> on Thursday, December 15, 1994 <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Schedule the public hearing on taxation for on or shortly after 7 PM on Wednesday, <br /> December 7, 1994 and the continuation hearing for on or shortly after 7 PM on <br /> Thursday, December 15, 1994. <br />
