The CPR
training requires using mannequins to practice the techniques. The current mannequins were
purchased from donations from the Knights of Columbus in 1982. They are in poor condition.
The fire department wishes to replace them. The department would like to request donations from
the organizations that receive this training for this purchase rather than using the city's capital
funds. The estimated cost is $1,700.
The fire marshal, Terry Iverson, will be available to answer questions about the extent of CPR
training that the city provides to organizations.
ATTACHMENT:
A Memo from Chief Kurhajetz dated October 19, 1994
ACTION REQUESTED:
Discuss and approve request to seek donations toward replacing the CPR mannequins.
