CITY OF
FALCON HEIGHTS FIRE DEPARTMENT
2077 W. LARPENTEUR AVENUE FALCON HEIGHTS, MN 55113 -5594 PHONE (612) 644 -5050 FAX (612) 644 -8675
October 19, 1994
TO: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator
FROM: Clem Kurhajetz, Fire Chief
RE: Request to seek funding for replacement of CPR mannequins for the
fire department
In 1984 the Falcon Heights fire department began providing advanced treatment to
our patients using variances granted by Ramsey Medical Center and the Minnesota
Department of Health.
One of our agreements was to perform CPR instruction to interested persons in our
community. The following organizations are currently being trained by our CPR
instructors:
1. Harvest States Cooperatives
2. Goodwill Industries
3. Hewlett Packard
4. Falcon Heights /Lauderdale Lion's Club
5. Falcon Heights Fire Department
6. 1666 Coffman Condominium Association
After 10 years of use and training over 1,000 students, mannequins will need
replacement. The approximate cost is 1,700.00 for three mannequins adult, child,
infant. The five organizations have contributed to purchasing mannequins, video
tapes, instructional materials in past years.
The CPR instructors would like to approach these organizations to request donations
toward replacement of our mannequins. Repair of the mannequins to current
standards of cross infection retrofitting and repairing worn -out parts exceeds
replacement.
Thank you for your consideration regarding providing quality education in CPR training
to our local organizations.
p
HOME OF THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR AND THE U OF M INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE
i
410 PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
TREE COY USA
