1995 Goals and Objectives: <br /> 1. Reduce the volume of solid waste. <br /> 2. Educated citizens and businesses on waste management, with a focus on <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> 3. Increase curbside pick -up of recyclable materials. <br /> 1995 Activities (Proposed): <br /> 1. Prepare and publish quarterly newsletter inserts. <br /> 2. Coordinate second annual city -wide garage sale. <br /> 3. Prepare and staff ice cream social booth on management of household <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> 4. Coordinate second Project ChildSafe car seat collection. <br /> 5. Plan activities to observe 1995 Solid Waste Reduction Week. <br /> 6. Work with waste collectors, regulatory agencies, and other communities to <br /> explore and implement ways to improve and expand curbside pick -up of all <br /> wastes. <br /> 7. Review city solid waste ordinance(s) and recommend updates as necessary. <br />
